Conflict Diamonds

Conflict diamonds, also known as ‘blood diamonds,’ sustain armed conflicts and civil wars. In other words, conflict diamonds are used by rebel groups to buy the guns that are used to maim and kill foes and innocent victims alike, to buy drugs to keep their ‘child soldiers’ in line, and to, literally, pay for the destruction of a country.
